Kayak is a great search engine for well priced flights. It used to always be my starting point. You'll want to purchase your tickets at least 21 days prior to departure because you'll be eligible for the 21+ days advance purchase fares. You don't really let us know your departure airport, so its hard to let you know what the best airfare is for that time frame. I would assume that Flight & Hotel first prices your for your flight, then allows you to select a hotel also for that trip and pay for them together at the end (so the price you see at first would only be your flight) which would be similar to visiting a travel agent, them pricing you a flight, then pricing you a hotel. As far as a travel package, they all include different things. Some will include, hotel, meals, airfare, car rental, tickets to events, while others may only include only some things. It really depends on the package.

Go during the winter months. The weather will be more bearable during these months. If you go in summer time, you will be sweating non-stop. It gets really hot. The only time I go back is in the winter time.

If you go in February, there will be celebrations and parades until the 27th, which is Independence day.

If you can try to go to Boca Chica, it's a little far, but they have beautiful beaches. Also, Puerto Plata and Nagua has nice beaches but they are on the north side of the country. You're actually pretty close to PR also.

In Off season you can get cheap tickets. And since your are planning to visit in March then do not worry about airfare rates because at that time there discount flights running, so you if possible visit more then one flight site and book flights where you can get cheap tickets.

If you haven't purchased your ticket yet, and if you are in Philippines, you should look look for discount air tickets flying out of Manila. I've flown Air Asia many times (http://www.airasia.com) and have been very happy with them. There's also Tiger Air (http://www.tigerairways.com/), which I know flies between Manila and Macau for about $25 US (don't remember the price in Php). After you are in Macau, you can catch a ferry to Hong Kong,

In terms of "relaxed flight," I don't know why you are concerned with this since it's nonstop and it's not a long flight.

If you want to stay in Macau for one night and see things there, check out Pousada de Mong Ha. ( for a review see http://patnotebook.blogspot.com/2009/03/macau-hotel-pousada-de-mong-ha.html ).

Do bear in mind that the Ferry between Macau and HK does cost some money, but it's comparable to the airport express MTR if you arrive at the airport in HKG, but just remember to figure in the transportation costs to either airport when you compare prices.

I've never heard of Dorsett Far East hotel. Have you looked at any reviews for it on http://www.tripadvisor.com , and also where is it located? In my opinion, a key issue in Hong Kong is proximity to public transportation. Try to find something that says it's very close to the MTR, because then you will have no trouble getting anywhere you want. I think hotels in Causeway Bay or Mong Kok tend to be a fairly good value. Also, cleanliness can be an issue at the two star level, so look at the web sites that have hotel reviews and read the comments closely!

Of COURSE you can make these arrangements yourself! It takes just a bit of courage, but it gives you a lot more control. Look for hotel reviews on http://www.tripadvisor.com ALSO you can book online through the Hong Kong based internet travel agency Zuji: http://www.zuji.com . The Zuji site is excellent, easy to book through them, and they have reviews of each hotel. I also think their "deals" (listed with stars as best value ) are indeed pretty good deals. For a bit lower level of accomodation you can look on http://www.hostelworld.com.

In June, it will be really hot in HKG! You might enjoy trying to stay someplace with AC and a pool.

    Have fun!

ok if u r staying in Kln. that wil be Mongkok area if u said ur htl nearby the ladies market. so no rush to the ladies market as it's open til midnite… u can shop there like after done ur sightseeing during daytime 1st ok? March is a nice time to visit as it's not that hot here in HK. although a bit humid. so, things u can't miss = the giant buddha. take the MTR fr Mongkok station towards Tung Chung Terminal then shift the cable car to the buddha…..
    http://www.np360.com.hk/html/eng/front/index.asp

u can go 'visit' the buddha during daytime. guess the cable car start at 10am. after spending half day there…. come back out to the Tung Chung station & u wil c the only 1 outlets mall in HK. v nice & cheap to shop there w/ many brands.
    http://www.citygateoutlets.com.hk/index.html

if u r in a Disney b4…i guess u needn't goto the 1 in HK as it's the smallest among the World + nothing excited. so maybe u can try the Ocean Park. http://www.oceanpark.com.hk/
just MTR fr Mongkok to Admiralty (20 mins) & the ticket booth of Ocean Park is rite there. they wil hv a roundtrip shuttle bus 4 u to visit the park. after u done fr the park, probably it's after 4-5pm. MTR fr Admiralty –> Causeway Bay (15 mins or less) & hv a walk there. u can come out fr the exit of Sogo. that wil be the ctr of Causeway Bay. it's just like Ginza in Tokyo… a lot shopping, a lot local restaurants.
    http://www.sogo.com.hk/en/home.html

so that spend u aldy 2 days…. n my suggestion for another day = visiting Tsim Sha Tsui. the largest mall of HK is there…..
    http://www.harbourcity.com.hk/

n take the star ferry b4 sunset time (Mar wil be aro 6pm)… to spot aro the famous Victoria Harbour. u dun hv to ride on those expensive tour boat. just take the normal ferry which everyone taking / just abt HK$2.80 for a single trip. fr TST –> Central Pier… then u take the boat by heading back TST (of cos u hv to go out & back in & pay again).

I have OBEs quite abit and have ran into dark entities from time to time. Some were violent with me. The more spiritual you become the less likely you will run into dark entities. Spirituality is the key to all things. UFO’s,ET’s, astral projecting,OBEs,ghosts- everything is connected to spirituality for thats what we are –spirit beings. The PTB know this and try to keep us dumb downed for if we all awaken then everything flips……

I too did the audition and My daughter was chosen to compete. We were suppose to go to LA. I paid half of the $600 entry fee's and realized after nearly going broke just to prepare her for the competition. I could not afford the Trip. Hotel, Airfare. It was nearly impossible. My church was going to help me Fundraiser it and also help me pay to get her there. She sings in the Choir at my church. So It was a blessing. But I found myself questioning too much about them so i choose to not do it all together. I didn't see how paying that much for competing was going to pay off. The experience may have been nice but after reading more and more information about them I know now I was right. They have yet to refund me my money. I would not do it. I decided my daughters Future singing is in God's HANDS. If given the opportunity I know she can go far I just refuse to go broke int he process. Don't DEAL WITH BEST NEW TALENT. I knew after they attempted to draft my account again without permission they were Crooked. Good Luck !!!

I agree, you should go to New York City and surrounding areas because you are from Australia so you have some of the world's best beaches, so there's really no need to go to California and see the beaches. That's really all California has going for it. I am from Boston and it's a great place to visit, so much history and great things to see, same with NYC.
Both of those cities do have very popular sports teams- football tickets and baseball tickets are sometimes sold out a whole season in advance, but you could probably get some tickets for about $100 each. (I don't know what that is in Australian money lol) Or $200 if you wanted really good seats.
